Question 1

How long does restoration take?

Accepted Answer

Most restorations take around 45–90 minutes for a pair, depending on the level of oxidation. We work efficiently while keeping quality first.

Question 2

How long will it last?

Accepted Answer

With our UV protection sealant, results typically last 12–24 months. Regular washing and parking out of direct sun helps extend the finish further.

Question 3

Will it pass an MOT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Restored headlights improve light output and clarity, which directly helps with the MOT light condition requirements. Many customers book restoration specifically to avoid an MOT failure.

Question 4

Can every headlight be restored?

Accepted Answer

Almost all headlights with surface oxidation, yellowing, or hazing can be restored. However, if the lens is cracked, heavily sandblasted, or the internal reflector is damaged, replacement may be the only option. We'll always inspect first and give you honest advice.

Question 5

Do you come to me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're a fully mobile service and come to your home or workplace across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and surrounding areas.

Question 6

Is UV protection included?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Every restoration includes a professional UV sealant to protect against future yellowing — at no extra cost.

Question 7

Do I need electricity?

Accepted Answer

No. Our equipment runs on battery power via an in-car inverter, so we can work at any location — your driveway, workplace car park, or even a roadside spot.

Question 8

Can LED headlights be restored?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LED headlights can suffer from the same oxidation and UV damage as halogen or xenon units. We restore the lens itself, which improves clarity regardless of the bulb type inside.

Question 9

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

A single headlight is £35–45, a pair is £60–90, and heavily oxidised headlights start from £90. Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote.
